A 7-a-side soccer tournament will take place on November 5 from 6pm at Dulsco Grounds in Al Quoz, Dubai.
Organised by the Goans Connecting Goans Association, the event will see the participation of a number of teams.
The trophy of the tournament was unveiled alongside the draw held recently at the Hilton Hotel.
Goans Connecting Goans Association is the only licensed Association representing Goa from the Ministry of Community Development Authority, Dubai, UAE.
"The soccer tournament is a good opportunity for Goans to showcase their Goan football talent and to connect with their Goan community," said Joseph Philip Dias, Chairman of Goans Connecting Goans.
"Our objective is to create a sustainable structure for the welfare of Goans living in the UAE and globally."
A number of the board of directors and members of Goans Connecting Goans Association were present on the occasion.
The Board of directors also felicitated UAE's teenage sensation Aayan Khan, who scripted history as he became the youngest player to feature in the T20 World Cup.
Prominent among them were Philip James Soares, Vice Chairman, Yoguish Jagdish Rav Valaulikar, Secretary, Joao Gratiano Lino Dias, Treasurer, Akbar Khan, Director; Gregory Joseph De Barros, director; Mustak Saiad, director; and Samson Kari, director.
