Gujarat Lions beat Noori CC to win Sporting Pearl Cup title

Gujarat Lions CC defeated Noori CC by five wickets in the final of the Sporting Pearl Cup Season 6 to lift the trophy at the JMR Oval 3 ground in Ajman.

Noori CC won the toss and elected to bat. They kept on  losing the wickets on regular intervals but managed to post a fighting total of 172/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Laxman Waykar was the top scorer for Noori CC as he belted 40 runs off 32 balls. Divjot Singh, Hardik Patel and Rachit Rai of Gujarat Lions CC took two wickets each.

Chasing, Banty Nandy and Divjot Singh Arora batted sensibly and took the Gujarat Lions past the target. Nandy scored 35-ball 48 and Arora smashed 39 off 31 deliveries. Rejee Mohan, Milesh Pravin also chipped in with useful contributions. The man of the finals was given to Arora for his performance with both Bat and Ball.

Gujarat Lions CC have won many accolades and tournaments over the past five years. This year specially has been a good start for the team with already two victories and a runners-up finish.
