British tennis star Emma Raducanu is virtually immobile as she has undergone three separate surgeries – on her wrists and ankle – leaving her out of action for at least three months. But that does not prevent her from encashing on a virtual app which allows her to offer online tennis lessons to her fans – for a neat $2,000.
The online subscription app features some of the biggest celebrities in sport, such as Jack Grealish, Gareth Bale, and women’s World Cup winner Alex Morgan.
Through a tieup with American online platform Airwayz, Raducanu has a video channel which offers fans an insight into her life behind the scenes for $5 a month. If fans want instructions on their own forehand or serve, she can render them valuable advice — for no less than $2,000.
The feedback also monitors the strengths and weaknesses of her fans, according to a report in a section of the British media.
