Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the player of the Saudi club Al-Nasr, topped the list of influential celebrities on Instagram, and became the highest-paid influencer in the world.
Ronaldo overtook the American reality TV star, Kylie Jenner, to become the highest-paid star on the famous photo-sharing site in terms of return income.
Ronaldo now earns 1.87 million pounds (Dhs8.83) per advertising post, compared to 1.47 million pounds for Jenner, according to the British media.
Ronaldo's account has witnessed tremendous growth on Instagram in recent years. It has more than 597 million followers, while Kylie Jenner has 397 million followers.
Argentine football legend, Lionel Messi, ranked third with 1.38 million pounds per ad post, while American singer Selena Gomez ranked fourth with 1.35 million pounds, and actor Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” ranked fifth with 1.33 million pounds.
Kim Kardashian ranked sixth, where she receives 1.31 million pounds per sponsored post, Ariana Grande came in seventh place with 1.3 million pounds per post, while Beyoncé gets 1.08 million pounds per post.
Khloe Kardashian ranked ninth with 1.03 million pounds, while Kylie's sister Kendall Jenner appended the list in tenth place with 1 million pounds per publication.
Ronaldo also topped the list prepared by Forbes magazine as the highest-paid athlete in the world for the year 2023. His annual profits amounted to 109 million pounds sterling.
Ronaldo made a £175m move to the Saudi Professional League earlier this year, and the lucrative switch propelled him to the top of the Forbes list for the first time since 2017.
