In an amazing demonstration of young talents across the MEA region, the first instalment of the Rising Stars Arabia fighting series took place on Saturday.
The showdowns began at 6:00 pm and continued until 11:00 pm, with a stadium packed with supporters cheering for fighters representing their countries.
Jordanian Bader Samreen defeated Mexican Jose Gonzalez in the lightweight category via technical knockout.
Emirati Sultan Al Nuaimi beat Tanzanian Jamis Kanza in the super flyweight by unanimous decision.
Mohammed Bekdash, who is known as ‘The Destroyer’ from Syria faced off with Musa Ntege also called as ‘The Dinosaur’ in the cruiserweight category. Syrian knocked out Ntege after one round.
This was the first of many fights to come from the Rising Stars Arabia Series. The tournament is sponsored by Ahmed Seddiqi Sports in partnership with Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi,
