The Fujairah Martial Arts Club has won the Best Team Award at the seventh Fatima Bint Mubarak Women Sports Award in the sports federations and institutions category, dedicating this victory to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and President of the Club, in recognition of his generous and continuous support.
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club emerged as one of the top three contenders in the Best Team category, alongside the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club and the Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club, and eventually earned the award by meeting all criteria, which reflects its distinguished record of achievements and remarkable success.
Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious award, a notable new accolade, and a particularly special recognition from the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award. This success was made possible by the support and guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and his continuous encouragement for our talented athletes to participate in regional and international tournaments, winning local and international awards.”
Shawish asserted that winning the award is a notable new achievement to be added to the club’s track record. “It stands as a testament to the undivided attention that the wise leadership of the Emirate of Fujairah accords to women,” he noted.
“This support includes providing all the tools and resources necessary for competing in tournaments and in awards, which ultimately strengthens Fujairah’s position on the sports map.”
Organised by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women Sports Award is the first of its kind in the region, and as such, holds a unique position in the sports sector. It plays a critical role in empowering talented women athletes, developing their skills in a supportive and competitive environment.
