After delivering dominant performances, UAE’s Abdul Rahman Al Bloushi is expected to clinch gold in the final round, as the seventh edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship will end on Sunday.
The Dubai International Parachuting Championship is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The closing ceremony will take place on Monday at Skydive Dubai, where winners will be crowned.
In the Accuracy Landing competition, Bloushi advanced without a hitch during the round. He showed remarkable skill in the eighth jump, gaining only three centimeters overall after eight jumps, five of which were flawless and had zero centimeters—a feat that none of his competitors could match.
The accomplishments of UAE participants in the competition, whether in water sliding or accuracy landing, are probably going to remind people of their exciting and robust beginnings. The final round of individual Accuracy Landing, will be a fitting finale, with Emiratis including Abdul Bari Qubaisi and Mohammed Obeid Al-Suwaidi likely to grab podium spots.
40 teams, consisting of 168 male and female participants from 27 countries, are taking part in intense and heated competitions among Arab and European skydivers.
The tournament featured tough competition and intense rivalry between the Arab, European, and American competitors following their participation, especially in the two previous tournaments, Hike and Fly and the European Championship held in the UAE.
These events paved the way for the massive enthusiasm of skydiving enthusiasts in the UAE, the region, and around the world, who followed the championship with keen interest.
Youssef Hassan Al Hamadi, Vice-President of Emirates Aerospace Federation and Director of the Organising Committee, praised the participants for their dedication to following the rules and timings, which helped to ensure their maximum safety.
Hamadi hailed the efforts of the organizing committee and the support of the Dubai Health Authority, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Skydive Dubai, Media Land Group, and the Address Beach Resort, which hosted the Accuracy Landing competition, as well as the Golden Tulip Media Hotel, the accommodation partner for the participants.
