The UAE's Abdul Rahman Al Bloushi and Abdul Bari Qubaisi claimed gold medals as the seventh edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship concluded on a successful note on Sunday.
Emirates Aerospace Federation dedicated the achievement to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and to members of the Supreme Council.
The Dubai International Parachuting Championship was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The federation also hailed the support of Sheikh Hamdan.
Emirati ace Bloushi once again was flawless during the final round of Precision Landing. Delivering an outstanding performance, Bloushi gained the upper hand quickly and maintained his supremacy over his rivals till the end. He capped the memorable week by winning gold.
Qubaisi dominated the Water Sliding to grab the yellow metal.
Not to be outdone by their hardworking counterparts, as demonstrated by the team competition, the UAE stars, Qubaisi Beloushi, stole the show and lit up the skies of Jumeirah with their stupendous show.
40 teams, consisting of 168 male and female participants from 27 countries, took part in intense and heated competitions among Arab and European skydivers.
The tournament featured tough competition and intense rivalry between the Arab, European, and American competitors following their participation, especially in the two previous tournaments, Hike and Fly and the European Championship held in the UAE.
These events paved the way for the massive enthusiasm of skydiving enthusiasts in the UAE, the region, and around the world, who followed the championship with keen interest.
The closing ceremony of the seventh Dubai International Parachuting Championship will take place on Monday at Skydive Dubai, where the winners will be crowned.
