The Sharjah Women's Sports Club hosted the third and final round of the (3x3) Basketball League for young girls and junior categories.
The basketball tournament attracted about 75 players, most of them from the Sharjah Women's Sports Club and its three branches (main, central, and eastern region).
The event, organised under the supervision of the UAE Basketball Federation in collaboration with the Planning and Technical Monitoring Department at Sharjah Women's Sports, featured intense competition, enthusiasm, and excitement among the participants.
At the end of the event, the winning teams received gold, silver, and bronze medals from Halima Al Raisi, a member of the women's committee of the UAE Basketball Federation; Qasim Dadoush, the assistant technical secretary of the federation; and Salim Al Saadi, head of the Planning and Technical Follow-up Department at the Sharjah Women's Sports.
The Sharjah A team won first place in the youth category, followed by the Eastern Region team and the Sharjah C team in third place.
The Sharjah C team won first place in the junior category, followed by the Sharjah B team in second place and the Sharjah B team in third place.
Saadi expressed his great satisfaction with the success of the event. He pointed out that most of the participating players in the tournament represented the Sharjah Women's Sports Club, which has a strong foundation of talented players who represent a bright future for basketball in the club and the national team at all age levels.
Dadoush expressed his sincere gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Club for Women for its support and for providing the resources necessary to promote women's sports in general and basketball in particular.
