The inaugural Elite Tennis tournament in Fujairah reached a thrilling climax as Emirati ace Omar Bahrouzyan claimed the top honours in men's singles.
Elite Tennis Tournament was held at the Tennis & Country Club in Fujairah with the participation of players from across the globe.
Omar Bahrouzyan's journey to the championship was nothing short of remarkable. Throughout the tournament, he displayed a blend of strategic acumen, physical endurance, and mental fortitude.
His performance in the preliminary rounds was dominant, securing victories with a combination of powerful serves and deft volleys.
Abdul Ghafoor Behroozian, Chairman of Tennis & Country Club Fujairah, gave away the prizes. Omar Bahrouzyan claimed the title after Cesar Ferrer Victoria's retirement due to injury. Bahrouzyan was leading the match 6-2, 1-0, when the Spaniard decided to pull out.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, Cesar Ferrer Victoria earned his spot in the semi-finals with a solid 6-3, 6-3 victory over Giovani Samaha.

Omar Bahrouzyan faced Anthony Moukarzel in a gripping match, showcasing his dominance with a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory. In the quarter-finals, Simon Roberts continued his impressive streak by dominating Dev Kanbargimath with a decisive 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Bahrouzyan delivered a stellar performance against Michael Quinones, winning convincingly at 6-1, 6-1. Anthony Moukarzel overwhelmed Hamad Janahi through strategic play and powerful baseline shots, securing a 6-2, 6-2 win.
In another quarter-final, Simon Roberts and Ferrer Victoria faced off in a hotly contested match as well. Roberts retired at 6-7(3), 1-2 to end the match.
“The success of the first Elite Tennis tournament in Fujairah has set a new benchmark for future competitions,” said Hania Reggi, general manager of Tennis & Country Club Fujairah.
