The UAE Tennis Federation and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation Emarat signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate and partner in various tennis programmes and tournaments across the country.
This partnership aims to provide tennis players and enthusiasts with the benefits of the "Emcan" loyalty programme, offering them a wide range of perks, promotional offers, and chances to participate in their regular raffles.
Attending the MoU signing ceremony were Khalifa BinHendi, Board Member of the UAE Tennis Federation and Chairman of the Partnerships and Outreach Committee, and Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Emarat.
The signing and official announcement took place at the main headquarters of the Emarat Group in Dubai.
This MoU is part of the UAE Tennis Federation’s efforts to advance sports development, aligning with the UAE's sports strategy and it’s ambitious goals to strengthen public-private partnerships, promote the nation's sports spectrum, and create a competitive environment in sports, especially in tennis, one of the world’s most popular sports.
Bin Hendi emphasized, "The UAE leadership is committed to fostering sports skills, developing athletic talent, and advancing the concept of 'sports as a soft power.' Through this partnership, we aim to activate the Federation’s role in creating an incentivizing loyalty program for athletes, tennis enthusiasts, and fans. This cooperation seeks to make tennis more accessible and encourage community participation."
Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Emarat, added: With the Emcan programme, we aim to enhance direct engagement with millions of customers. Through this partnership with the UAE Tennis Federation, we hope to tap into the vast tennis fan base in the country by sponsoring the Federation’s tournaments and offering a range of benefits to tennis players and fans.
“We look forward to strengthening cooperation and working together intensively to make this unique partnership a success,” he added.
This announcement came as the two parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
