The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has called on female Emirati entrepreneurs to join its membership and benefit from a wide range of competitive advantages that add to their business and investment activities.
The DBWC membership is a gateway to additional expertise and quality trainings that enhance the competitiveness of businesswomen and female entrepreneurs in the Emirate of Dubai.
The DBWC revealed that its diverse services and initiatives are fully in line with Dubai’s growth requirements and are adapted to the changing needs of the business environment in the Emirate. It includes a wide range of specialised professional training and diverse events that pave the way for sharing experiences and the establishment of economic partnerships and mutual co-operation.
“We are giving particular attention to bolster female Emirati entrepreneurs, in accordance with constant directives of the wise leadership and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in terms of establishing a stimulating environment for entrepreneurship and startups and to strengthen Dubai’s position as the capital of the global economy,” said DBWC.
The Council aims to raise the rate of Emirati businesswomen and entrepreneurs to 20 per cent by 2020, up from the current rate of about 12 per cent, in particular, that the business environment in Dubai is characterized by cultural diversity with more than 200 nationalities operating in the emirate’s business community, and Emirati women are an integral part of the business system in Dubai.
HE Raja Easa Al Gurg, President of the DBWC, said: “DBWC was established to empower working women and help businesswomen highlight their abilities and skills in the business environment to develop their enterprises. We are committed to implementing an advanced strategy inspired by the vision of the wise leadership of Dubai. It is based on the pillars of developing and refining skills and helping businesswomen develop and apply the latest business practices to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid transformation towards intelligent conversion.”
DBWC membership benefits include easy access to the membership database of nearly 1,000 names, allowing them to communicate with members of the council and the resulting business opportunities and economic partnerships.
In addition, members get exclusive access to participating in a series of training workshops and seminars on various topics that are of interest to their business activities, which contribute to refining their skills and developing them to serve their professional interests.
DBWC organizes more than 50 events a year on innovative topics and keeping abreast of the latest developments in the business environment such as digital marketing, business plans, artificial intelligence, smart services, governance, welfare and other topics that provide added value to members’ information and experiences.
