Festival seasons play a big role in businesses’ sales growth as retailers offer huge discount to make the occasions more special for customers.

Valentine’s Day, traditionally associated with restaurants, hotels, and flower and candy shops, is now witnessing a shift as businesses across varied sectors embrace the surge in consumer interest. This change reflects evolving consumer preferences and highlights the adaptability of businesses in catering to diverse customer segments.

Leading the charge is Selfdrive.ae, the largest mobility tech platform, which has experienced a remarkable 35% increase in reservations over the past month. As Valentine’s Day approaches, the company anticipates another surge of approximately 40%, underscoring the growing popularity of its services among a wide range of customers.

Soham Shah, CEO of Selfdrive.ae, noted, “A growing trend with couples stepping out and exploring long drives has led to a surge across categories, with families opting for SUVs and couples choosing high-end cars.”

Meanwhile, bnbme Holiday is witnessing a surge in bookings, with February emerging as one of the best times of the year for travel enthusiasts. Vinayak Mahtani, CEO of bnbme holiday homes, attributes this surge to European schools being on holiday and India celebrating, coupled with the added allure of Valentine’s Day prompting couples to seek romantic getaways.

Mahtani highlights the company's positive performance in January, with a slight growth in occupancy, and anticipates February to continue at last year’s levels.

As businesses across various sectors embrace the Valentine’s Day surge, it is evident that the spirit of love and celebration transcends traditional boundaries, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Similarly, Gymboree Play and Music Dubai, a pioneer in early learning and play centers, is set to host a Sweetheart Party on February 14th. This event promises a delightful atmosphere for parents and their little ones to celebrate love and joy together.

The Sweetheart Party at Gymboree Play and Music Dubai will feature specially curated activities aimed at fostering a sense of togetherness and bonding. From art activities to captivating story time sessions, the event offers a variety of experiences for children to enjoy. Attendees can also look forward to a special visit from Gymbo, the lovable Gymboree mascot, along with parachute time and delightful snacks.

Rumana Mowjee, Managing Partner at Gymboree Play & Music Dubai, expresses enthusiasm about the event, stating, “It's a fantastic opportunity for parents and babies to share special moments together in a loving and interactive setting.
