Hamad Ali Abdulla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD”, held a coordination meeting with the Department’s commercial officers to discuss several proposals that will contribute to enhancing economic growth in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting discussed several important topics, including the smart inspection system and the control procedures carried out by commercial officers. Also, it highlighted the performance reports of commercial officers during the past period, and it discussed ways to develop their performance through specialized training courses and programs to improve their communication skills. Likely, the meeting was held to overcome the challenges they may face in the field of inspecting markets and economic establishments. Additionally, the mechanism of direct field communication and coordination that the commercial officers undertake during their work with the relevant government agencies in the emirate was also deliberated.
SEDD Chairman said that meeting with the commercial officers represents part of SEDD’s strategy aimed at enhancing effective communication and unifying efforts to achieve the Department’s goals and aspirations. HE carried on that the meeting aimed at discussing the challenges facing their work and reviewing the plans and initiatives that contribute to improving the performance and enhancing the operational efficiency of commercial officers, given the importance of their role as they represent the eye of the Department in the field in line with the strategic objectives to contribute to achieving and leading comprehensive economic development in the emirate. HE added that the Department is keen to ensure that all economic establishments operating in the various cities and regions of the emirate adhere to all applicable controls and provisions, and to ensure the provision of the best services to the consumer.
