The famous Egyptian actress Ragaa Hussein passed away at the age of 85 on Tuesday.
The late actress started her artistic life with the Al Rihani Theatrical Troupe, which she joined at the end of the fifties, when she was younger than 20 years old.
Among her works are the movie “Afwah We Aranib” with the great star Faten Hamama, in addition to dozens of dramatic series, such as “Marid Al Jabal” and “Ahlam Al Fata Al Taer” with star Adel Imam, “Al Mal We Al Banoon” “Al Shahd We Al Domoua”, and other works of art.
The radio and television building known as Maspero was a major starting point for the late actress as she presented through it, dozens of radio and television series, before she drew the attention of the great director Youssef Chahine, who gave her a role in his famous movie "Awdet Al Ibn Al Dal.”
Egypt honoured Ragaa Hussein at the Egyptian Women’s Celebration, which was held in early 2022, in appreciation of her great artistic career.
She also received a decent honour at the last version of the National Film Festival, the culmination of an artistic career full of giving over six decades.
