The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs confirmed that the initial information received by the Jordanian embassy in Cairo from the Egyptian security authorities indicates that there is no criminal suspicion behind the death of the actor Ashraf Talfah.
The Ministry stated that the concerned Egyptian authorities informed the Jordanian embassy, after reviewing footage of the surveillance cameras installed in the place of residence of the deceased, that no one had entered his apartment.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Sinan Al Majali, explained that the medical report issued from the hospital to which Talfah was transferred confrimed that the death was the result of a brain hemorrhage, a pulmonary infiltration, a disturbance in the degree of consciousness and a sharp fall in blood circulation.
“The Jordanian embassy is following up the investigations with the Egyptian authorities and in coordination with the deceased’s brother, and the results will be announced as soon as the investigations are completed and in coordination with his family,” the Ministry added.
Al Majali pointed out that the Egyptian authorities are fully and transparently cooperating with the investigation, and that they had briefed Ashraf’s brother on the medical report and the preliminary investigations that they conducted.
The medical report stated that Talfah had been found lying in his apartment, while in his hand a drug known as the "blue elephant", with marks on the face, abdomen, and left foot, swelling in the left hand, scattered bruises on the body, exophthalmos in the eyes, and suspected bleeding in the brain, chest and abdomen.
