Madhuri Dixit Nene on Thursday grooved to the popular track “Bairi Piya” from her 2002 period romantic drama “Devdas,” showcasing her elegant dance moves. The actress, who enjoys 39 million followers on Instagram, shared a Reel video, wherein she can be seen wearing a yellow ethnic outfit and dancing on the track “Bairi Piya,” which is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Udit Narayan.

The song is originally picturised on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The video, which seems to be shot on the sets of “Dance Deewane,” shows Madhuri wearing a green kundan necklace with minimal makeup and open hair. The video has garnered 474K views. On the work front, Madhuri is currently the judge of “Dance Deewane.” It is co-judged by Suniel Shetty and hosted by laughter queen Bharti Singh.

The show airs on Saturday and Sunday on Colors. Madhuri, who was last seen in the streaming movie “Maja Ma” and serves as a judge on the dance reality show “Dance Deewane,” hopped on the viral ‘vaatavaran’ bandwagon and shared her own take on the trend. On Sunday, the actress took to her Instagram and shared a video of herself lip-syncing to the “vaatavaran” dialogue from the Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma-starrer “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” The video was shared by the actress from the sets of “Dance Deewane.”

Madhuri pitched the note of her character in the Reel a notch above and enacted the lines said by Lisa Haydon in the film. Recently, the actress walked the ramp for Ranna Gill’s show at the Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI. She donned a white sparkles drizzled pantsuit for the event. From “Flowers” to “Bella Ciao” and “Titanium” were played by a live musician on the saxophone and the flute as models, who seemed to take a dip in liquid gold, as they shimmered in Gill’s collection “Urban Prairie” strutted the runway.

But the best was saved for the last. The runway lit up with camera flashlights as the audiences didn’t want to click a glimpse of the epitome of beauty Madhuri Dixiti Nene, who in every sense looked confident and luxe in the creation by Gill. As the walking came to an end, Madhuri, who wore a white drizzled with sparkles pantsuit, and Gill first posed for the shutterbugs and then the twinkle toes of Bollywood grooved to live music.

The collection featured silhouette including pantsuits, skirts, jumpsuits and evening dresses created in myriad shades of ivory, glacier blue, taupe, sea breeze, liquorice and gold. In luxurious double crepe, satin, sequins, and lurex.

Madhuri called her showstopper outfit “gorgeous” and added: “We all are urban ladies and we live in the cities but there are some flowers growing here and there and you look at it and you say this ‘this is our prairie’. This was my prairie today.”
