NLCS Dubai enriches student development through innovative sailing program

The program's success is evident in its growing participation and recent milestone events. "We have seen a large increase in sailors at NLCS Dubai and this allowed our inaugural Inter-house sailing regatta to be a Whole School competition. It was a delight to see the Junior and Senior students fostering collaboration and house spirit whilst competing on the same team and in the same boat!" Woodroffe added.

Student enthusiasm for the program is equally compelling. Noah Mansour, a student participant, shares, "I had an amazing time as we combined our team's effort to race for the finish line. Being neck and neck with another team and then getting across that finish line is a feeling I will never forget."

NLCS Dubai's partnership with the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club's (DOSC) RYA Cruising Yacht Programme enhances the sailing experience, providing students access to excellent facilities and expertise. The school's commitment to sailing excellence continues to grow, with students actively participating in the Keelboat programme and preparing for an ambitious sailing expedition from Oman to the UAE next year.

The sailing program represents NLCS Dubai's commitment to a well-balanced ambitious education, helping students develop both on and off the water.
