A bizarre wedding couple photoshoot took place in Islamabad with the bride and the groom posing in front of containers set up by the government amid the ongoing Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, local media reported.
Despite the disruptions caused by the ongoing PTI protests, the newlywed couple Khola and Qasim made their big day unforgettable by embracing the city's unusual backdrop.
The wedding photoshoot featuring containers in the capital has been circulating on social media.
Khola and Qasim were seen walking and standing as they held each other in front of the vibrant blue and red coloured containers, set up in response to PTI protests sweeping from different areas of the country.
The bride can be seen wearing a stunning white silverish traditional long maxi wedding outfit while the groom donned a grey coloured full suit.
Additionally, the photoshoot was done by a Islamabad based photographer, who uploaded the pictures of the couple on their social media account.
The photos have sparked a range of reactions on social media, with many calling these moments memorable. Some admired the couple’s efforts, whereas, some found it uncanny and unconventional.
The caption of the Instagram post pointed towards the paralysed situation in the capital city with school closures and citizens’ frozen movement due to a complete lock down as a result of the protests.
It was indicated that since the whole city was shut down and every place was closed, the couple had to do their photoshoot in front of the containers.
It read: “When you couldnt find any other location on your big day. Since it was all locked up. For Khola & Qasim.”PTI convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, now in Punjab, are marching towards Islamabad to protest, demanding the release of their party founder, Imran Khan, among other issues.
One user remarked, "No matter what happens, work should never stop," while others joked about the presence of tear gas in the protest-filled background.
Another social media user, Jhanzaib, reacted to the photoshoot "Wao someone had they’re wedding shoot infront of the containers placed by the regime to stop #ImranKhan supporters from reaching Islamabad. The love of this nation for Imran khan is beyond words. #FinalCall."
Despite this, Khola and Qasim’s wedding photoshoot has managed to capture a unique moment amidst the chaos, leaving social media buzzing with admiration for their resilience.
Viewing the PTI protests, the government has closed the main arteries with containers and placed barricades on many other roads leading to Islamabad.
The anti-government 'Final Call' protest rally of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), that started from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Peshawar on Sunday, has now reached the outskirts of Islamabad where massive security arrangements have been made to prevent its entry into the country's capital.
Bushra Bibi, wife of imprisoned former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, is leading the protest and has vowed to continue it until her husband is released from the jail.
Along with Bushra Bibi, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is also leading the rally that has attracted thousands of PTI supporters.
