The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai Women’s Wing has successfully hosted a special Suhoor to commemorate International Women’s Day.
The event was full of celebration of strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women within the community, fostering an atmosphere of inspiration and connection.
Anum H. Baqai, Head of Women Empowerment, PBC, said: “The primary purpose of the Suhoor event was to honour and uplift women in business and leadership, recognising their crucial role in driving economic and social progress. Beyond a mere celebration, the event aimed to create a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaborative networking.
“The Pakistan Business Council Dubai Women’s Wing is committed to expanding its reach and influence, attracting more women to join its platform, thereby strengthening the community and creating a robust support network. This is not an era of competition, but an era of collaboration. The more we collaborate and grow together, the more sustainable our collective progress will be,” she added.
As part of the evening, an interactive session was held by Dr Farah Qadir on “Business Psychology.”
The session provided attendees with valuable tools and perspectives, sparking engaging discussions and fostering a deeper understanding of the psychological dynamics within the business world.
The Suhoor also facilitated exceptional networking opportunities, allowing women from diverse backgrounds and industries to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships.
Baqai, while talking to Gulf Today, said that the event strengthened the sense of community among women professionals, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment as well as providing an opportunity for community business women a wider platform for knowledge sharing and expanding their network within the business community in Dubai and beyond.
Highlighting the future goals, she said, “Building on the success of this event, the Pakistan Business Council Dubai Women’s Wing is committed to organising more initiatives that bring women together and create further opportunities for networking and professional development. Our next steps will be expanding membership, hosting regular events, facilitating collaborative projects, building strategic partnerships and creating mentorship programmes.”
