SHARJAH: Several areas in the UAE experienced rain on Thursday.
There were showers in the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah. The rain brought the temperature down by a few notches.
Traffic remained normal, and there were no accidents reported. Surface runoff was visible on various roads and yards.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts cloudy weather for Friday. Chances of rain, accompanied by thunder over the northern and eastern areas, were likely, it said.
Motorists have been told to drive carefully.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country was 6.2°C in Jebel Jais mountains at around 7.30am, according to the NCM website.
