The Abu Dhabi Appellate Court on Sunday looked into the case of an Asian charged with peddling techniques to firm body sagging skin without obtaining a licence from the competent authorities.
The authorities had received information about an Asian girl frequenting women's salons, to trap women wishing to perform cosmetic procedures such as skin tightening and checking body-sagging due to obesity or delivery, claiming she specialised in such operations.
The Public Prosecution referred the suspect to court after she was caught with others practising activities which required a set of specialised technical and professional requirements.
In court, the suspect denied the charges and demanded annulment of the ruling of the Court of First Instance sentencing her to a fine and deportation.
