The Sharjah Criminal Court has adjourned case ruling of two suspects, who are responsible of the death of a ship’s full crew.
Details of the incident date back to February, 2017, when a ship went off course and rammed into a breakwater that made it sink and killed its crew.
A human error caused by the suspects had led to the occurring of such a tragic incident, as they were the reason behind keeping the ship’s crew on wait to dock for more than 10 days without any supplies.
The crew were forced to face rough seas and unstable weather conditions that lead to their death.
Upon confronting the first suspect, he denied all accusations and claimed that full responsibility falls on the captain of the ship.
The suspect claimed that all necessary supplies were available at Ajman port.
The court ordered a continued imprisonment of the suspect, and adjourned the ruling session till March 18.
