The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) announced resumption of granting entry permits for domestic workers as well as employment permits for government and semi-governmental entities and vital facilities in the country in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
The service has been resumed through the ICA centers with adherence to all precautionary and preventive requirements and measures at the country's ports. Pre-test of COVID-19 before arrival is must, to be followed by receiving and quarantining arrivals by their employers or institutions for a period of 14 days in coordination with the concerned authorities.

The move comes to strengthen the country's efforts towards supporting recovery plans and backing the growth in conjunction with enabling the work system based on achieving a vital balance between the preventive measures on the one hand, and the return of the tourism and economic climate and various developmental aspects on the other hand.
ICA also confirmed that it would continue allowing entry of domestic workers of valid residence visas from all nationalities.
This also includes holders of valid residence visas and workers for government and semi-government entities and vital facilities of all nationalities, provided that the responsible party submits the application via the authority's website https://ica.gov.ae/
