UAE on Saturday witnessed heavy to moderate
rain in different areas.
The Emirate of Sharjah experienced moderate and heavy rain on the Khor Fakkan road, Al Dhaid, Al Falli, Batayeh area, Bin Rashid area and Suyoh Khedira in the central region.
Khafifat Bahayes and Maliha-Al Madam Road witnessed light rain as well.
The highest temperature recorded on the UAE on Saturday was 48.6°C in Umm Al Zemmul in Al Ain, and the lowest temperature was 24.6°C in Jebel Jais, RAK, at 5:30am on Saturday.
Light rain lashed Al Ghail and moderate rain lashed Kidra in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The National Meteorological Centre (NMC) appealed to drivers to be cautious during heavy rains and strong winds caused by the accumulative clouds on some eastern regions, as they may result in throwing solid objects and low horizontal visibility.
NMC expects that Sunday weather will be wet on the coasts with a chance for low clouds to form on the East Coast in the morning.
The weather on Monday is expected to be partially cloudy in the east and west with a decrease in temperature and an opportunity of accumulative clouds to form in the east in the afternoon.
Winds will be southeast turning to northwestern and northeast, light to moderate but sometimes active and dust stirring with speeds ranging between 15 and 25 up to 40 kilometres/hour.
The sea is expected to be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
The Centre explained that the expected temperature on Sunday will be around:
46°C in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain
44°C in Sharjah and Dubai
43°C in Ajman and Fujairah
41°C in Ras Al Khaimah
42°C in Umm Al Quwain.
