UAE to invest Dhs600 billion in clean and renewable energy

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, said that the UAE announced its goal to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed in a tweet on Twitter that our development model will take into account this goal, and all institutions will work as one team to achieve it, and the UAE will invest more than Dhs600 billion in clean and renewable energy until 2050, and will play its global role in combating climate change.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said in a tweet: "The UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative announced today is consistent with the longstanding vision of the UAE and its people to make a significant contribution to global sustainability efforts while supporting economic and human development both at home and around the world.”

Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, tweeted, “Today, the UAE looks forward to promoting sustainable development through its strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, and this approach will advance the environment and people, enhancing economic opportunities.
