Separate areas of the country witnessed rainfall on Thursday as a result of weather fluctuations, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Light rain began falling at 9:00 am on Dedna and Wom areas in Fujairah, while it was medium to heavy rain in separate areas in Umm Al Quwain, and on Sir Bu Nair Island, and medium on Al Hamriya in Sharjah.
Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature recorded in the country, on Thursday morning, at 11.5ºC at 06:45 am.
The National Center of Meteorology called on motorists to exercise caution while driving during the rain, as well as with the lack of horizontal visibility, due to rain and winds that raise dust, advising the public to stay away from places of water gathering and the surface run-offs.
The NCM further said the weather on Friday would be partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some northern areas, coastal and islands with a chance of rainfall. Humid by night and Saturday morning over some coastal and inland areas. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds freshening at times, with speed 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate may become rough at times with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and mild in Sea of Oman.
It also expected the weather on Saturday would be clear to partly cloudy in general and humid by night and Sunday morning over some coastal and inland areas. The winds would be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, with a speed 10-20 reaching up to 30 km / h. The sea would mild to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
As for the weather on Sunday, the NCM said that it would be fair to partly cloudy in general and humid by nights and Monday morning over some coastal and inland areas. The winds would be southeasterly to northeasterly light to moderate in speed.
