A large explosion rocked a warehouse of ammunition and weapons belonging to the Hamas group in the Lebanese city of Tyre, which resulted in deaths and injuries, according to the National News Agency.
Videos circulating on social media showed a powerful explosion, followed by the appearance of a ball of fire that rose to a great height.
The official agency confirmed that the explosion occurred in a Hamas warehouse in the northern Burj refugee camp, noting that it resulted in deaths and injuries, without specifying the number of casualties.
The reasons for the explosions are not yet known, while the Lebanese army cordoned off the area and prevented entry and exit from the camp, according to the agency.
The Lebanese authorities opened an investigation to find out the circumstances of the accident.
