The Ferrero Group said that it has voluntarily taken a decision to withdraw certain batches of Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 GR products manufactured in Belgium and which expire on October 1, 2022, from the UAE and Qatar markets as a precautionary measure.
No other Ferrero product, including other Kinder products, will be affected by this voluntary refund.
Ferrero Gulf stated in a statement that it considers the safety of consumers the utmost priority, and that it is in line with the news that spread in Europe about reported cases of salmonella that may be related to “Kinder” products manufactured in Belgium, and that it reassures consumers and customers in the GCC states that no positive Salmonella test has been confirmed from Kinder products.
The group added, “It is worth noting that the Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 GR product is the only one that is produced in the Belgian factory out of all the products sold in the GCC by Ferrero, which are manufactured and imported from eight different factories.”
