Light to moderate rain was witnessed in suburbs of Sharjah and Fujairah on Wednesday afternoon.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said on Twitter, “Moderate rain over Kalba – Wadi Al Hilo Rd (Sharjah).
“Moderate rain over Ohala (Fujairah).”
The NCM said, “A chance of rainy convective clouds associated with fresh winds and strong at times with speed of 45 km/hr causing blowing dust reducing the horizontal visibility at times over some Eastern and Northern areas from 12:30 to 20:00 Wednesday 27/04/2022.”
The authorities said that the lowest temperature recorded over the country on Wednesday morning was at 19.4°C in Jabal Jais, Ras Al Khaimah at 02:30 UAE Local time.
While the highest temperature recorded over the country was 41.9°C in Um Azimul, Al Ain, at 15:30 UAE Local Time.
Rain of different intensity started on separate areas of the UAE since Monday as a result of the country being affected by a shallow air depression from the Red Sea and southern Iran, accompanied by humid easterly and southeasterly winds.
