The Asir region police arrested a Saudi national for beating a nurse in a hospital in Al-Majardah Governorate.
The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
He was arrested and legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The video shows the Saudi man mercilessly dragging the nurse and later assaulted her.
He was stopped by others at the hospital.
As per Saudi law, the penalty for assaulting a health practitioner is imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine of up to 1 million riyals.
A Saudi national, Fahad said on Twitter, “What is this… serves him right… Now 10 years imprisonment and a fine.”
Hadi said, “It is assumed that there should be laws that protect the references, just as there are laws that deter the abusive references.”
Another wrote, “No one will ever agree to this behavior, but it is very necessary not to lose sight of the reason for pushing this reckless person to do this. I call for severe punishment. “
