"Human cadres are the genuine fortune in which we will continue to invest," Al Amiri told the retirees.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has honoured a number of retired employees in the Health Regulation Sector in recognition of their distinguished performance, sincerity, and dedication during their tenure at the Ministry. The ceremony was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Dubai.

The gesture aims to reward the retirees for their contributions to the UAE's healthcare industry and to inspire them to continue serving their nation in the best way possible. Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the MoHAP's Health Regulation Sector, stressed that the Ministry is very proud of retirees' limitless contribution made throughout their tenure and their responsible attitudes.

Dr. Al Amiri lauded their efforts to launch innovative strategies and initiatives that resulted in significant milestones in various sectors of law, policies, licensing regulation, and control. These are at the core of the Ministry's responsibilities and are in line with the government's visions to foster innovation, and sustainability, foresee the future and increase customer satisfaction and quality of life in the country.

Honouring, a long-term approach

He stressed that being excellent at work and doing everything possible to support the UAE and its people will always be highly appreciated. "The ministry will continue to foster an institutional culture that inspires employees to unleash their creative potential, adding that honuoring others' hard work has always been a sustainable approach adopted by the wise leadership, which believes that the excellence of government sectors is nothing but excellence for the entire UAE0."

Al Amiri went on to say that honouring retirees who have incredibly held their responsibilities for many years is a tribute to the whole health system, and "thanks to them, we made a qualitative leap in boosting the state's position in global competitiveness indexes."

Investment in human resources

"You've set a good example for the next generation of employees. We firmly believe that human cadres are the genuine fortune in which we will continue to invest in order to improve institutional performance and efficiency. The growing number of honoured employees reinforces the fact that the Ministry's strategy of retaining employees and rewarding them for their accomplishments has been successful. We will do everything we can to make our staff happy," Al Amiri told the retirees.

Recently, the Department of Human Resources at the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organised three training workshops tackling government excellence, the global star rating programme (7 stars), and total quality management (TQM).

They were held as part of the ministry's continuous training programme; the three workshops aimed to improve the capabilities of MoHAP staff and equip them with the latest skills.

Delivered by Fahd Saif Al Suwaidi, Excellence Consultant at the Ministry of Interior, the first workshop aimed to introduce participants to the Government Excellence Model (GEM2.0).

It was entitled "Incentives for the Government Excellence Programme."

The workshop discussed the model's incentives, significance, impact on many criteria of the excellence system, and the essential components of the programme's implementation, including proactivity, adaptability, and creativity. The gathering also touched on ways to utilise incentives in the face of global crises such as the COVID-19 outbreak.

The second workshop was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Majid Al Bardan, Director of the Customer Happiness and Proactive Services Department at Dubai Police.

Entitled "Upgrading the readiness of service centres to a 7-star rating", the seminar discussed the UAE's Global Star Rating System (7 stars) and the Emirates Government Service Excellence Programme. In addition, the training event explored ways to raise the efficiency of government services to a 7-star rating and realise the UAE's vision of becoming one of the best countries in the world by focusing on customers and enhancing government efficiency.

Entitled "Total Quality Management and Government Excellence," the third workshop was run by Colonel Dr. Mardiya Al Balushi, Director of the College of Postgraduate Studies at the Dubai Police Academy.
