His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, said that the UAE is seeking, through everything it is doing today, to create a better world for our children tomorrow.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said on Twitter, “Through everything we do today, we seek to create a better world for our children tomorrow. On Emirati Children’s Day, we reaffirm the UAE’s commitment to accelerating efforts aimed at securing a sustainable & prosperous future for our young people and for generations to come.”
Under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the “Mother of the Nation, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood celebrates Emirati Children’s Day on March 15th each year in recognition of the publishing of the Child Rights Law “Wadeema” in the official gazette in 2016. The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood celebrates this day to renew commitments towards the rights of all national and expatriate children in the UAE.
Several UAE ministries launch numbers of initiatives, programmes and campaigns aimed at enhancing children’s health awareness, promoting healthy lifestyles in addition to raising children in a healthy, safe and supportive environment filled with positivity and happiness.
