The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) has updated the fees to Dhs1,250 for issuing a 6-month entry permit to the UAE to complete the procedures for obtaining a 10-year golden visa.
These include Dhs1,000 as issuance fees, Dhs100 as application fee, Dhs100 as smart services fee, Dhs28 as electronic services fee and Dhs22 as ICP fees, the ICP said.
Investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes are among those eligible for the golden visa, the ICP added.
To apply for an entry permit to complete golden visa procedures, customers are required to submit several documents including the passport, a colour photo and golden visa eligibility proof, it said.
In case an electronic entry permit application is returned for missing data or documents, it has to be resubmitted within 30 days, the ICP added, noting that in case it has been returned for three times, the application will automatically be rejected.
If the application has been rejected, only the issuance fees and financial guarantees, if any, will be refunded, the ICP said.
Fees will be refunded via the credit card within no more than six months from the date of submitting the application. Alternatively, they will be refunded as per the observed procedures by cheque or bank transfer – for banks existing in the UAE only – with no more than five years.
