Twitter head Elon Musk does not seem to be going blue in the face on the fallout over his Blue ticks diktat. Already some celebrities have been dislodged from their privileged Twitter Blue pedestal including Bollywood's Badshah of Romance Shah Rukh Khan, billionaire Bill Gates, cricket star Virat Kohli, and actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas. They are among the nearly half a million users who on Friday lost their Twitter Blue ticks, even as Musk removed all legacy verified accounts.

Interestingly, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has also been hit by the order, so have Hillary Clinton and billionaire George Soros, according to Indo-Asian News Service, not forgetting Pope Francis, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey.

Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, and cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma also lost the blue ticks.

The list also includes India's Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

However, Musk has relaxed the rule for other celebrities – he has offered complimentary Twitter Blue subscriptions for them to retain the blue ticks: William Shatner, LeBron James and Stephen King.
