VIDEO: Dubai Police recover Russian tourist’s smartphone that fell into the waters of Hatta

Dmitry Oshchepkov, a Russian tourist, thanked the Dubai Police for their speedy response to his report and their keenness on making him happy by restoring his iPhone 14 Pro, which contained essential files and information.

Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, Head of Maritime Rescue Department, said that the Command and Control Centre of the General Department of Operations received a report from a tourist in Hatta area in which he stated that his iPhone had fallen into the water while he was in a boat on Hatta Dam water.

The phone contained very important information, pictures and memories and he needed help to find, he said.

The marine rescue men start searching for the iPhone but could not find it due to the lack of visibility but a team of frogmen inquired from the tourist about where his iPhone had fallen in Hatta Lake and managed to find it in a jiffy, he added.
