On Saturday, the country witnessed rainfall of varying levels due to a weather system caused by a shallow air depression from the southwest, accompanied by humid southeast winds.

This was further compounded by an upper air depression and an air current from the northwest, resulting in varying amounts of clouds from the west and southwest.

The situation indicates that these weather conditions are likely to continue in the coming days, according to forecast of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Rain fell in several areas across the UAE including Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

The temperature ranged from 14.2°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah at 06:00 am to 37.2 °C at the Al Jazeera Border Guard in Al Dhafra at 03:45 pm, according to the NCM.

During rainfall, exercise caution while driving and avoid areas where water collects or valleys flow.

The National Meteorological Centre and Abu Dhabi Police have issued warnings to this effect. Follow variable speed limits displayed on electronic signage and signboards.

NCM predicts that the upper air depression will deepen from today, Sunday, until Tuesday. Clouds will increase in separate areas and will be interspersed with some cumulus clouds.

These clouds will be accompanied by light to moderate rainfall in separate areas, sometimes heavy at intervals with lightning and thunder. Furthermore, there will be a decrease in temperatures. The quantities of clouds will gradually decrease from Tuesday evening.

Sunday's weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with occasional rain in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to northeast, and occasionally strong, causing dust and reducing visibility horizontally. Wind speeds will range from 15 to 30 up to 45 km/h, especially on the sea.

The sea will have medium to turbulent waves, particularly in the Arabian Gulf, and light to medium waves in the Sea of Oman.

Monday's weather will be partly cloudy with intermittent rain in some areas. The winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, and occasionally strong, particularly at sea, causing dust and reducing the horizontal visibility.

The sea will have medium to turbulent waves, becoming very turbulent at times, with cloudy conditions in the Arabian Gulf and medium waves in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday's weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with scattered rain in certain areas, mainly the northern, eastern, and western inland. Temperatures are expected to decrease, and winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to northwest.

Strong winds may cause dust and reduce visibility on the sea. The Arabian Gulf is expected to be turbulent, and the Sea of Oman may experience medium waves.

NCM predicts clear to partly cloudy weather on Wednesday. Humidity is expected at night and Thursday morning, with the possibility of light fog forming in some inland areas. The winds will be westerly to northwesterly, with light to moderate speed, and active to strong at times, causing dust that may decrease the horizontal visibility. The sea is expected to be moderate to turbulent waves in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
