Dubai Civil Defence controls yacht fire in Marina

Civil Defence teams douse a fire in Dubai.

Dubai Civil Defence teams controlled a fire which broke out in a yacht in Marina area in Dubai. No injuries were reported, according to Civil Defence sources.

The Civil Defence Operations Room received a report at 11:12am on Tuesday, alerting that a fire erupted in a yacht in Marina area in Dubai.

Instantly on receiving the report, a team from the Dubai Harbor Centre rushed to the scene in 6 minutes only to find that a moderate fire erupted in a yacht.

Teams began to control the fire and they managed to contain it at 12:28, according to sources. The site is now under cooling, and will be handed over to the competent authorities to take further procedures.
