Dubai launches community initiative to support people affected by floods

The Community Development Authority in Dubai announced the launch of the “Solidarity” initiative on the “Jood” platform for community contributions to support people affected by recent weather conditions in Dubai.

The aim of the initiative is enhance the goals of the “Afflicted Support Committee”, which was formed under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to support those affected in Dubai, and allowing private sector institutions, businessmen and all members of society to make contributions.

The amounts of financial contributions will be allocated to support the affected people registered with the Community Development Authority and the affected people registered with charities, institutions and entities participating in the “Jood” platform, which can be accessed via the link: https://jood.ae/ar/

Hessa Bint Issa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority said, “The Authority received many requests for contributions from businessmen and companies, all of whom expressed their desire to provide a helping hand to those affected, as presenting this initiative on the “Jood” platform contributes to enabling individuals and companies wishing to help those affected, to Providing financial support easily through which they can be compensated for the damage to their property and homes.”
