Sheikh Sultan praises collaboration between Sharjah and University of Exeter

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, met with Dr Gareth Stanfield, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean for the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Exeter (UoE) in the United Kingdom.

The meeting took place at Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre in the University City.

At the meeting, Sheikh Sultan welcomed Dr Gareth Stanfield, praising the strong relationship and continuous communication between the University of Exeter and the Emirate of Sharjah, highlighting the fruitful cooperation in various scientific, educational, technological, and cultural fields, which contributes to providing the best opportunities for academic exchange between global academic institutions.

The meeting discussed several topics related to academic education and the utilisation of advanced modern technologies for its development. It also emphasised enhancing educational plans and curriculum to positively impact the students' level and the efforts of the faculty members.

Additionally, scientific research was highlighted as an advanced development for the institution through utilising the expertise and efforts of its scientists and academics to contribute to the development of society in various fields.

The meeting also discussed expanding cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and the University of Exeter in developing the educational process and teaching methods.

This includes teacher training to ensure the best educational outcomes that contribute to the development of students and educational practitioners according to the latest global practices in the field of education in line with the Emirate's strategy to support education.
