Dubai Police celebrate Eid Al Adha with 6,000 workers in Jebel Ali

Dubai Police organised a series of events in the Nuzul Labour Accommodation area of Jebel Ali to celebrate Eid Al Adha under the theme "Celebrating Eid Together," with the participation of 6,000 workers.

The events, organised by the Positive Spirit Council, Jebel Ali Police Station, the Council of Police Station Directors, and the Event Security Committee in Dubai, included various activities and sports tournaments such as cricket and tug of war, as well as awareness lectures on workers' rights, traffic safety procedures, and emergency contact services (999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergencies).

Additionally, there were displays of luxury police patrols and performances by the police band. Brigadier Muhammad Abdullah Al Marri, Deputy Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, emphasised that the diverse activities during the Eid holiday for workers support Dubai Police's awareness and community efforts across all segments of society, enhancing communication between the public and Dubai Police.

He explained that the events included sports segments, cultural and awareness competitions, and lectures introducing Dubai Police's various services, which allow individuals to access different services easily and efficiently through the smart app and the Smart Police Station (SPS).

Fatima Buhujair, Head of the Positive Spirit Council, stated that the initiative contributes to Dubai Police's strategic goal of enhancing security and community communication with all segments of society. She highlighted Dubai Police's role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, dialogue, and respect for others, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the events during the Eid Al Adha holiday.

Towards the event's conclusion, Brigadier Al Marri honoured and thanked the competition winners, extending his thanks to the volunteers and everyone who helped make the events successful.
