A collision between a truck and a sewage tanker on Saturday afternoon resulted in the burning of both trucks.

The accident happened due to one of them jumping a traffic light, which led to the death of one of the drivers.

The other driver suffered moderate injuries.

The national ambulance transported the injured driver to the hospital.

All procedures are being completed and referred to the competent authority.

The authorities have urged motorists to remain attentive while driving and not to get distracted while on the wheels.

The authorities also said that motorists will face hefty fines and incur black points for using mobile devices while driving in the roads of the UAE.

On the other hand, The Fujairah Police said that Al Saif Roundabout would be temporarily closed on Saturday.

The police said on social platforms, “We would like to inform you that maintenance work will be carried out on Al Saif Roundabout and the roundabout will be temporarily closed on Saturday, 13/7/2024 from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Please be cautious and use alternative routes.”
