His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the University of Sharjah (UoS), directed on Tuesday that the UoS's Chancellor send a letter to the Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), listing approved university students who failed to receive their university ID number before the scholarship registration deadline to allow them another chance to scholarships if they meet the requirements.

The Ruler of Sharjah noted that the focus is on students recently accepted into the University of Sharjah, not all current applicants, adding that acceptance is conditional, as institutions cannot be compelled to accept everyone.

Applicants at the Universities of Kalba, Khor Fakkan, and Al Dhaid will receive scholarships immediately upon acceptance and registration if they meet the requirements, he added.
