The UAE Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced the implementation of substantial enhancements to the services of the Federal Public Prosecution, as part of its 'Zero Government Bureaucracy' programme.

Among these is simplification and reduction of procedures for the travel ban lifting.

On Wednesday, the Ministry, through a video posted on its social media channels, explained that the service of lifting a travel ban has been transformed into a proactive service, negating the necessity for the customer to request it.

"The number of procedures has been cut from nine to zero, the number of attachments from one to zero, and the time duration from one working day to minutes," the Ministry added.

Recently, the UAE government initiated the 'Zero Government Bureaucracy' programme, marking a new phase of governmental operations. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency, quality and flexibility of the UAE government.

The objective of the programme is to streamline government procedures, eliminating superfluous processes and requirements.

The programme's objective is to enhance the efficiency of government procedures issued by federal ministries and entities. Furthermore, it aims to reinforce the UAE government's leadership and global competitiveness in government efficiency and the absence of bureaucracy.
