Alhosn App, the UAE's national digital platform for health-related information pertaining to vaccinations, has identified three essential vaccines for popular travel destinations.

These vaccines are recommended for adherence when planning to travel to certain destinations.

Such vaccines include the yellow fever vaccine, which is a prerequisite for travel to certain regions of Africa and South America; the typhoid vaccine, which is crucial for travel to Asia, particularly rural areas; and the hepatitis A vaccine, which is advised for the majority of international travel, especially to areas with inadequate sanitation.

It is also recommended that individuals ensure their protection when travelling in the summer by obtaining the requisite vaccines.

These include the hepatitis A and B vaccine, which protects against liver infections caused by hepatitis viruses; the typhoid vaccine, which prevents typhoid fever, a serious bacterial infection; and the yellow fever and meningitis vaccine, which prevents meningitis, a serious infection of the brain. Additionally, the rabies vaccine is imperative for travellers in close proximity to animals.

The yellow fever and meningococcal meningitis vaccines are also crucial for the prevention of meningitis, a serious infection of the brain and spinal cord. Furthermore, the rabies vaccine is essential for travellers in close proximity to animals. Finally, the influenza vaccine is vital for the prevention of influenza, which can occur at any time.
