SEC approves technical team for social data portal project

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the council meeting held at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office.

This came in the presence of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).

During its meeting, the SEC discussed the general policies of government work in the Emirate of Sharjah, and ways to develop them in a manner that keeps pace with the great development and comprehensive progress witnessed by the emirate at the level of all segments of society and various sectors.

The SEC reviewed a report on the implementation of the Social Data Portal project, which falls under the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide accurate, comprehensive and immediate data on individuals and families and exchange it between relevant authorities in the Sharjah government, federal authorities and local authorities in the emirates of the country to support the provision of social services in the best and fastest ways.

The SEC approved the formation of the technical team for the Social Data Portal project to include specialists from the Sharjah Social Services Department, the Sharjah Digital Department, and the General Secretariat of the SEC. The formation of the team aims to raise readiness and follow up on the achievement of the objectives of the social portal in linking the relevant parties and exchanging data.

The SEC reviewed a presentation on the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers, which was approved by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to qualify job seekers in all cities and regions of the emirate according to specialised qualification programmes, and training them in the field in government entities to gain practical experience according to each specialisation.

The programme is implemented in several stages until all those targeted by the programme are qualified and trained within two years. The duration of each stage is 6 months, including 3 months for qualification and 3 months for field training, in cooperation with government entities and specialised bodies. A monthly reward of Dhs6,000 is paid to each member during the programme period.

The SEC reviewed the annual report of the Sharjah Noble Qu'ran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE), monitoring the most important achievements and activities of the establishment during the year 2023, which support the implementation of its strategic plan and the achievement of its goals in activating the role of mosques and raising the level of memorisation of the Holy Quran.

The report indicated the presence of 1,075 male and female Quran memorisation tutors distributed in groups in the cities and regions of the emirate, totaling 1,361 groups, including mosque groups, government initiative groups, and recitation groups, in which more than 30,000 male and female students have attended.

According to the report, the number of memorisers in the establishment’s groups and private centres during the year 2023, reached 856 individuals. The report also explained the establishment’s efforts in organising initiatives such as the "My Vacation with the Quran” initiative and memorisation initiatives in cooperation with correctional and penal facilities, the association for the disabled, government nurseries and other entities.
