His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed that the abandoned houses that spoil the general view of Kalba City be removed, the price of these houses be estimated and their owners be granted generous compensation.

Sheikh Sultan’s directives came in response to a woman who called the Direct Line programme broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

Sheikh Sultan also directed that a power transformer be removed from the front side of the caller’s house based on her request.

Meanwhile, in implementation of Sheikh Sultan’s directives, Sharjah Municipality is working on levelling lands in Al Shanouf in two phases, the first of which includes areas 1-3, of which 70 per cent has been completed so far, and areas 4-6 using 100 heavy-duty machinery so as to be completed as soon as possible.
