There is a new video that has emerged showing a Class 12 student in Faridabad, Haryana, who was reportedly pursued in a car and murdered by cow vigilantes who believed he was a cow smuggler.

The CCTV on the Agra-Delhi national highway captures Aryan Mishra, the victim, riding with his friends in a red Renault Duster car on Aug.24.

The five arrested individuals can be observed trailing in a Maruti Suzuki Swift around 3 am. Aryan was killed by gunfire moments afterwards.

While being questioned, the men who were detained - Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh, and Saurabh - admitted that they had been informed on Aug.23 that some alleged cattle smugglers in two SUVs were conducting surveillance in the city.

During their search for the cattle smugglers, they noticed a Duster car and instructed Aryan's friend Harshit, who was behind the wheel, to pull over. Nevertheless, he refrained from doing so as their acquaintance Shanky was in a conflict with someone and they suspected that henchmen had been sent to harm them.

Aryan and his friends continued driving, prompting the accused men to pursue them in their car. They started shooting at the car and a bullet struck Aryan, who was sitting in the passenger seat, near his neck. When his friend pulled over, he got shot once more, as the shooters contemplated retaliation.

Aryan was struck in the chest by the second bullet. He was quickly taken to a hospital, where he passed away within 24 hours.

After appearing in a city court, all the suspects were remanded to judicial custody.
