The Dubai Misdemeanours Court fined an Arab woman Dhs1,000 for verbally abusing her employer following a dispute between them.

She reportedly accused him of human trafficking, drug peddling, and committing indecent acts.

The details of the case date back to April last year, when the mentioned employer filed a report stating that he had been insulted by an employee.

The latter abruptly fabricated a trouble at the workplace and started to shout at him and loudly insulted him, though he tried to calm her down and asked her to stop shouting in the workplace, the employer told the police.

He added that the accused did not stop and continued abusing him in the presence of other employees, claiming that he indulges in immoral activities and that he trades in flesh and drugs.

Her workmates even tried to control the situation and asked her to stop, but she listened to no one.

A female employee of the same company stated that she had attempted to intervene and calm the defendant, but that she had refused and continued to cause trouble with the owner of the company, insulting him and accusing him of running a house for immoral acts and dealing in narcotic substances.

In interrogation, the defendant denied the allegations and attributed the employer's accusation to disagreements between them due to her decision to terminate the employment contract.

Consequently, the court convicted the defendant and sentenced her to the aforementioned penalty.
