Al Mazrouei reassured the public that police officers will not be lenient in taking action against violators to ensure the safety of all road users.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, has revealed that traffic patrols have seized 11 vehicles involved in the commission of acts of chaos.

These acts include displaying and making noise, as well as disturbing residents of residential areas.

Furthermore, the vehicles have been identified as causing disturbances and disrupting the security and calm of the traffic road. This is due to their use of dangerous movements and the production of loud noises, which have been identified as endangering the lives of the drivers and other road users.

These violations also included reckless driving, organising unauthorised rallies, endangering one's own life or that of others, causing road disturbances, causing disorder on the roads, making unauthorised modifications to the vehicle's engine or chassis, disturbing residents, and littering on public roads.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei emphasised that police respond decisively to these behaviours. He explained that the law penalises violators by impounding their vehicles and pursuing legal action, underscoring that there will be zero tolerance for such actions.

He also noted that Decree No.30 of 2023, concerning traffic violations and vehicle impoundment, penalises reckless drivers who endanger their safety and others, imposing an Dhs50,000 fine for releasing an impounded vehicle.

The Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police also warned motorists against reckless and dangerous driving. He emphasised that the law punishes those who endanger their own lives or the lives of others and those who damage the roads.

Al Mazrouei reassured the public that police officers will not be lenient in taking action against violators to ensure the safety of all road users. He also encouraged community members to report any negative behaviours observed through the "Police Eye" feature in the Dubai Police app or by calling the "We Are All Police" service at 901.
